15.02.2010. Khojali tragedy
|
At night from 25 to 26 February of 1992 year Armenian separatists with participation military equipment of 366 motoshooting division occupied Khojali village of Karabagh inhabited Azerbaijan population. Occupation of Khojali was accompanied unprecedented cruently. For few hours were killed 600 people, including 106 women and 83 children.
On the occasion of this tragedy next to the station “Khatai” of Baku subway sculptors Teimur and Aslan Rustamov built up a monument.
In 2007 on the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of Khojali tragedy has been issued by “Azermarka” company souvenir sheet. On the stamp is pictured this memorial. On the souvenir sheet are pictured hundreds of women, old men and children.
The stamp was issued in Belarus press with circulation of 15000.
